Game Review:

This review may seem a little redundant considering it is such an old game (nearly a decade). But I think it is still a very relevant 40K based game. And here is why,

The story is a pretty good 40K story. A bit obvious at times, but captures the essence of the 40K universe
As a shooter, its what you would expect from an IP like 40K. lots and lots of sci-fi-fantasy (sort of) battles. Three Ultramarine versus a horde of xenos. It controls well, nice selection of 40K weapons, a decent enough melee system, semi-competent allies, and Orks that just feel like Orks. or at least how i perceive Orks.

The graphics are, obviously, dated. But not by much. You will notice a slight thing here and there, but nothing that takes away from the relative good looks. Again, it feels like 40K should. Gritty, dark, a little moody, and all about never ending warfare.

The main complaint most people have is the lack of people playing multiplayer. But thats to be expected for a game this old.
All in all, a good game, that can be a time-sink. Something you can go back to when you get that 40K itch.
