Devil May Cry Review:
This game can be really boring on the first play-though but this is also the one game you can play for 300 hours and have infinite fun if you get into it.
DMC4 is in a wierd position with DMC3. DMC4 is easier, its more approachable, but the levels can get boring in the first difficulties that are unlocked for you, most of the bosses aren’t very good with the exception of 2.
But this game also has an immaculate and amazingly deep combat system. Dante in this game has a move set the size of 6 different action characters and is literally the most complex character playable in a video game. If you appreciate good combat systems this game is a must. However, the enjoyment that you get from the complexity of the combat is one only advanced players can appreciate and this is why DMC4 is in such a wierd spot.
I do recommend this game but also keep in mind that if you play this, do not shy away from downloading a save file to unlock the higher difficulties because I think the first two difficulties given too you are too slow and boring to really be fun and I also implore you to try out DMC3 before playing Dante int his game since in this game does not really properly introduce how to play Dante well like DMC 3 did.
Overall, an amazing game…but only if you are willing to go out of you way to make the game more fun for you by learning advanced techniques and trying to S-rank missions.
